Jetion Solar Secures Indonesia’s SNI Certification, Accelerating Expansion in Southeast Asia
Jetion Solar (China) Co., Ltd. (“Jetion Solar”) is proud to announce that we have successfully obtained Indonesia’s Standard National Indonesia (SNI) certification—clearing a critical regulatory requirement for solar products in the country and unlocking full participation in Indonesia’s rapidly growing photovoltaic market.
The SNI certification, mandated by Indonesia’s National Standardization Agency (BSN), is a compulsory gateway for any solar module entering the market. Without it, products cannot clear customs or be legally installed or sold. The certification process—conducted by Indonesia’s accredited laboratory PT. Qualis Indonesia—involves rigorous testing on performance, safety, durability, and compliance with local technical regulations. We are honored to have passed all evaluations on the first attempt, a testament to the quality of our products and the strength of our local partnerships.
Our certified product is Jetion Solar’s high-efficiency heterojunction (HJT) module, engineered for superior real-world performance. It delivers industry-leading low-light response, ultra-low degradation, an excellent temperature coefficient, and a significantly reduced carbon footprint—translating into higher lifetime energy yield and greater value for our customers. The module is ideally suited for utility-scale power plants, commercial & industrial rooftops, and residential systems, offering a reliable, high-return solution across all project types.
Indonesia’s solar market is entering a period of unprecedented growth. Although total installed PV capacity stood at just 717.7 MW as of June 2024, the government has set an ambitious target of adding 100 GW of solar-plus-storage capacity over the next five years—80 GW from distributed generation and 20 GW from centralized projects. As Southeast Asia’s largest economy, Indonesia faces surging electricity demand, yet many areas remain underserved by traditional grids. Solar-plus-storage microgrids are emerging as the most viable path to universal, affordable, and sustainable power access.
This SNI certification reinforces Jetion Solar’s strategic presence in Southeast Asia. We have already implemented projects in Thailand, Vietnam, Myanmar, and other regional markets, establishing a solid foundation of localized experience. With Indonesia’s market accelerating, we will leverage this certification to advance HJT technology deployment, enhance regional service capabilities, and strengthen our competitiveness—supporting sustainable energy development across the region.
