The project is the first in Guangdong Province combining PV power generation and fish farming, which uses about 300,000 of Jetion Solar dual-glass solar modules.

The 120MW project is located in Gangmei Town, Yangchun City, Guangdong Province, China. It covers about 380 acres with a total investment of about 600 million yuan. During the 25-year operation period, it will yield a total of about 3.32 billion kWh of clean electricity, which is equivalent to reducing standard coal consumption by 1.012 million tons and CO2 emissions by about 2.482 million tons, and achieve an output value of over 1.5 billion yuan, finally realize the combination of ecological benefits and economic benefits.

At the project site, nearly 300,000 pieces of JT SSh(B) 450W/455W high-efficiency dual-glass modules provided by Jetion Solar were shining under the sunlight. According to Jetion Solar, the JT SSh(B) module has a maximum efficiency of 21.2% and a 30-year power output guarantee. The double-sided design can achieve higher power generation gain, and the dual-glass design can bring better weather resistance and low attenuation.

Compared with traditional modules, Jetion Solar dual-glass modules have extremely low water permeability, and do not need to consider the problem of water vapor entering the modules to induce hydrolysis of EVA film, effectively adapting to the water surface or high humidity environment, and at the same time , reducing the post-project operation and maintenance costs, creating higher benefits for customers.

Under the module panels, traditional fishery also comes to life. The project combines PV power with fish farming organically, sets up solar module arrays above the water surface, uses solar energy to generate electricity, and develops characteristic aquaculture in the waters below, so that the water space can be used in all-round ways.

This model promotes the effective extension of the PV industry chain to new fisheries, greatly improves the economic value of land per unit area, and adds green to local development.

It is reported that Jetion Solar will continue to provide solar modules for the later local 670MW project.
