Research and development centre

The Board recognizes that in this highly competitive and fast evolving arena, research and development is key to the future successful growth of the group. Jetion has won 14 technology patents: of which 3 on equipment improvement, 4 on solar modules process, 7 on solar cell process. Moreover, 7 out of 14 are invention patents. The innovative process used by the group is capable of producing solar cells with high efficiency (up to 17.6%). Currently, average efficiency rate of solar cell is over 16.8%. Other producers regularly sub-contract elements of the production process to Jetion, underpinning the group’s key competencies in this area..

A team of highly skilled and experienced technology consultants are employed within the group.

Le Wang, Senior Technology Consultant
Mr. Wang studied at the physics faculty of Fudan University in Shanghai. He has worked previously at the PRC Metallurgical Ministry General Research Institute for the Non-ferrous Metals and Chinese Academy of Science Shanghai Institute of Micro-system and Information Technology, and also at the Shanghai Transportation University Guofei Solar Co., Ltd. as a chief engineer and professor since 2000. Before joining the Group, Mr. Wang worked as a senior consultant at Shanghai Space Technology Group Shanghai Solar Co. Ltd.

Meilin Zou, Senior Technology Consultant
Ms. Zou graduated from the physics faculty of Fudan University in Shanghai. She started her career at the Electronics Ministry of the PRC where she spent 25 years. She was deputy chief engineer and deputy director when she left the Ministry. She then worked at the China Huajing Electronics Group Corp. under the Electronics Ministry of PRC as a deputy chief engineer, separator plant director and the director of the National Institute (Electronics Ministry of PRC 24th Institute Wuxi Branch). Ms. Zou has worked as a consultant at the Electronics Ministry of PRC SEG Group Zhongkang Glasses Co., Ltd. and Wuxi Suntech Power Co. Ltd. respectively before she joined the Group in 2005.

Jin Guo, Senior Technology Consultant
Ms. Guo studied at the physics faculty of Fudan University in Shanghai. Before joining the Group, she has worked at the Luoyang Mono-crystalline Silicon Factory as a technical director, deputy chief engineer and chief engineer where she was mainly engaged in the research and development of silicon materials and was in charge of technical management. Before joining the Group, she has worked at the Wafer Works (Shanghai) Corp. Technical Centre, being responsible for the “Arsenic-doped silicon wafer quality control and application” project development.
